la companion

Welcome to the story of la companion — a journey told through real moments, photographs, and milestones.
Here you’ll find the full path we’ve taken: from the very first steps back in 2016 to the company we are today. Every project, every challenge, and every achievement has shaped who we are — and this is our story.
2013-2016
Like Marc Chagall and Ralph Lauren, my story began in Belarus, in the heart of Europe.
In the city of Grodno, I was introduced to metalwork — specifically ornamental forging.
I worked in a traditional forge, where I learned to heat, bend, and join metal by hand.
This is where I gained my first real experience: operating with fire, hammer, and anvil.
I learned the fundamentals — precision, patience, and respect for material — that still guide my work today
2016-2017
In 2016, I moved to America — to New York, chasing a new chapter.
Like the hero of The Goldfinch, I found refuge in a place that respected history, beauty, and craftsmanship.
I joined OLEK Incorporated, a company based in New Jersey specializing in the restoration of historic buildings, antique doors, and precious artifacts.
There, I immersed myself in the world of cultural treasures, working with high-end, priceless elements that demanded absolute precision and respect.
One of the projects I was proud to be a part of was the creation of custom furniture for the library at Yale University — a place where history, knowledge, and craftsmanship come together. er, and a vision — pushing myself every day to develop and sharpen my artistic skills..
While working at OLEK, I met Steve, the owner of HMH iron design
He gave me the chance to create chairs for the legendary, Oscar-winning film The Irishman directed by Martin Scorsese.
And today, I know that in an Oscar-winning movie, in a five-second scene, there are chairs made by my own hands.

Later, Steve also commissioned a forged staircase — and, surprise-surprise, it was shipped to London, where it now proudly decorates one of the townhouses in one of the greatest cities on another part of the earth
2017-2018
After my time at OLEK ink, I worked with several companies, including Dave’s Architectural and Trylon Metalworks.
There, I kept sharpening my skills as a fabricator, building a large number of staircases — both forged and traditional — and taking my craftsmanship to a new level.
Every project, every day spent mastering the craft gave me more and more confidence that I could build something of my own — and create a company with my own hands and vision.
2018-2019
The Founding’s Fathers Forging
Building on my skills and growing confidence, I made the decision to start my own company — in 2018 I started The Founding Fathers’ Forging.
It was a real challenge to work for myself, but also an incredible experience in learning how to run my own business in America.
I took my first steps, met amazing people, and slowly started building my client base — relying on nothing but my craftsmanship, my reputation, and the quality of my work
2019-2021
La forge de style
Working at La Forge de Style changed everything for me.
It was there that I truly discovered the art of high-end metalwork — the beauty of fine finishes, the discipline of precision, and the level of excellence demanded by world-class designers and architects.
I had the chance to work alongside unmatched masters of the craft, delivering pieces that were shipped across the globe.
This experience reshaped not only my skills, but my entire approach to metal. It taught me that metal isn’t just forged — it’s refined, perfected, and elevated to art.
The photographs shown in this section feature projects I was directly involved in during my time at La Forge de Style. All rights to these images and completed works belong to La Forge de Style.
2021-present
LaCompagnon is the result of over a decade of experience in high-end metalwork.
It’s built on everything I’ve learned — forging, fabricating, designing, and delivering custom metal pieces at the highest level.
This isn’t just a business. It’s my story, my skill, and my life — shaped by fire, precision, and purpose.
What drives me is simple: to create beautiful, lasting work with love, with integrity, and with uncompromising quality.
